WORLD'S hottest chili???....
So our ward had a chili cookoff this evening. Joe really wanted to win the award for hottest chili, so he searched high and low.....or maybe just google..... for some hotcha chacha chili. And apparently he found some! It was a beautiful combination of Anaheim, jalapeno, and habanero peppers, followed up with some hot sauce, onions, garlic, red pepper flakes, and chili powder. It surprisingly has really good flavor, and may or may not have made us cough when we ate it. :)

Halloween!
So let's just pretend that I have updated this blog every week for the past month and a half. It will just be soooooo much easier if you all will just forgive me for my lack of blogging :).
So this year our ward was having a Halloween party that included a costume contest. Me and Joe wanted to come up with something awesome, so let's just say I caught me a big ol' buck for Halloween. : )

Ugly ducklings no more....
So when we bought our dining table and chairs before we got married, the chair seats were......let's say..... disgusting, gross, nasty, blah, ewwww, vomit, etc. (the list could go on and on). But we got the set for such a steal that we figured we would just refinish the seats soon. Well, turns out "soon" in our world is 6 months later. I found this fabric at Walmart and fell in love. It took a wee bit of convincing to get Joe to let me get it, cuz let's face it, $8.00 a yard isn't exactly his idea of a cheap fix. Buuuuut.... the great husband he is, he finally gave in and went with me to get my dream fabric. Even better, this morning he refinished all 4 chairs!! (He's my hero). They look soooooo much better! (I took a close up of the "before" as well, but decided not to post it due to the fact that I didn't want to cause any of my readers stomach problems. You would thank me) :)

Joe's new toy...
So Thursday was the big day.......the day I got a text every 3 minutes asking, "Is it there yet?" With my response always remaining the same..."No Joe. It will come though, I promise". So FINALLY 4:00 rolled around and Joe traveled home full of glee and anticipation. What made Joe's heart skip a beat that day?... Seeing the UPS lady drive away as he pulled onto our street, of course! I felt like hiding his new love and acting as if the UPS lady MUST have just delivered somewhere else. But come on..... it surely would have been the end of him. So....he comes in the door, frantically searching with those big ol' baby blues for "the box". When his eyes landed upon it, again, heart skippage. He immediately sat down and opened his precious box as if there was a newborn inside. But he was so full of excitement he could barely even wait for me to take the first picture.
I guess since me and my new purse were made for each other, it wouldn't be so far-fetched to say the same for Joe and his precious Mac :)
